Welcome to AF Exams.co.uk
With RDR and the scramble for level 4 Diploma now well behind us, it is pleasing to see that significant numbers of financial services professionals are pushing ahead with higher level qualifications. Many, like us, feel that RDR was only the start, and that it is only a matter of time before it becomes compulsory to be a Chartered Financial Planner.
There is no doubt in our minds that the required AF exams needed to achieve Chartered Status are getting more difficult to pass. The syllabus is no different, so what's the problem? One of the issues which is becoming more apparent is the trend to 'overlap' testing, with pension calculations being required in the AF1 Taxation & Trust Exam, and tax calculation being required in the AF3 Pension Planning Exam. There is clearly a need to have a broad knowledge in order to pass the so called 'specialist' papers.
To help the revision process we have put together a series of workbooks covering the respective level 4 syllabus for each subject, on which the majority of the AF exam questions are based. In addition, we also run a series of revision days on the run up the exams which will concentrate on exam technique and some important do’s and don’ts.
Whilst we are able to assist in the provision of revision material and courses, the vast majority of the work has to be done by you. There is no quick fix for the ‘AF’ exams.
